Diabetes Focus:  Innovative Care for Individuals with Diabetes – September 5, 2014

The ADA releases new guidelines for caring for patients with diabetes every year — do you know what’s changed lately? Are you comfortable with all of the newer medications and how they are used? Do you need some new educational approaches to reach your patients, and resources to help them help themselves?

With over 25 million Americans already living with diabetes–and more being diagnosed every day–nursing professionals face an ongoing challenge in educating, advocating for, and providing best care to patients. Join us for a conference that will inform, motivate, and inspire you to share what you will learn about current hot-topics relevant to both inpatient and outpatient nurses and nurse practitioners.

Our multidisciplinary lineup of speakers–including nurse experts, physicians, pharmacists, and public health professionals–will discuss innovative topics like tailoring care for Hispanic populations, evidence-based educational approaches, and supporting patients making lifestyle changes, as well as the foundational topics of medications and guidelines. We welcome you and your colleagues to kick-off our fall season with a full day of contact hours on this critical subject!
