Diane Berry Receives Appointment and Grant
The School of Nursing congratulates Dr. Diane Berry who was appointed to the North Carolina Alliance for Health Obesity Prevention Policy Committee. This Committee will be working with the State legislature on obesity prevention policy priorities including physical activity/physical education, nutrition, and built environments.
In addition, Dr. Berry, along with Dr. Tara Lewis, Sean Harrison, and Mendi Neiters have been chosen to receive $75,000 to develop and implement diabetes group medical visits at The Alliance Medical Ministry in Raleigh, NC. The Duke University Hospital System Charitable Grants is funding the study.
