Alumni in the Classroom-Interdisciplinary Communication
SON Alumna and Foundation Board Director Jean Hix McDonald, ’83, and her husband Cary, ’80, ’87, a physician, worked with undergraduate nursing students to discuss common clinical scenarios as a way to encourage interdisciplinary communication. The class was facilitated by Dr. Shielda Rodgers and Dr. Meg Zomorodi as part of the undergraduate leadership course. Part of an overall program to bring alumni experience into the classroom, this session gave a real world focus to the topic of communication and conflict.
