Oct. 29: School of Nursing Homecoming Celebration

We are excited to announce changes in the way we celebrate Homecoming. This year, the School of Nursing Alumni Association will host a tent in the middle of the Tar Heel Town fun. Please join us on Saturday, Oct. 29 for our first School of Nursing Bell Tower Tailgate.

This new partnership with the General Alumni Association will allow us to provide the same great food, fun, and time to mingle with fellow nursing alumni. But this year, we’ll be even closer to all the excitement on campus. There will be live music, a chance to view the Old Well Walk, and an opportunity to participate in the Bell Tower Climb.

Later this summer, you will receive information about how to register for events and purchase football tickets in the School of Nursing block, to cheer on the Tar Heels as they take on Wake Forest. Our tent will be adjacent to the Bell Tower, and the UNC Association of Nursing Students will, as always, help us host our festivities. This is a great event for family, as we’ll have Tar Heel face painting for the kids, and a chance to see Rameses in action.

The classes of ’66, ’71, ’76, ’81, ’86, ’91, ’96, ’01 and ’06 will celebrate reunions. If you’d like to help coordinate a reunion for your class, or find out more about the new School of Nursing Homecoming plans, please contact Anne Webb in the SON Alumni Office at (919) 966-4619 or anne_webb@unc.edu.

Please come back and help us kickoff this new tradition! Find out more here.
