Tiffany Young, BSN ’99, has been in Haiti since June working as a Medical Program Coordinator for Samaritan’s Purse. Health care teams in Haiti are now on the front lines of the cholera epidemic there. Gloria “Pam” R. Porter Receives Award from Duke
Gloria “Pam” R. Porter, BSN ‘96, received a 2010 Duke Medicine Friends of Nursing Award for Nursing Excellence, Nurse Research Mentor Award. She was recognized at a Gala in the Durham Marriott along with 35 other Duke nurses. She was nominated by Mr. Winslow Carter, a Guidance Counselor at East Chapel Hill High School, for her work with his students and also by a former patient who is a lung transplant recipient.
