Commitment to Nursing and Dedication to Diversity Mark Faculty of the Year Recipient

Rumay Alexander, director of the School of Nursing’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, received the Faculty of the Year award from the UNC Health Care Nursing Retention Committee and UNC Health Care Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Mary Tonges.
According to Tonges, Alexander’s award is based on her “exemplary collaboration with UNC Health Care, her on-going commitment to nursing, her dedication to the Diversity Council, and her expertise which enables UNC to function more efficiently each day.”
