First on Campus to “Go Live” with New Online Application System

On Aug. 3, the SON will become the first School on the UNC-Chapel Hill

UNC-Chapel Hill is expected to completely convert to the CarolinaConnect system in January 2010.

Known as CarolinaConnect, this new system consolidates the various records systems on campus to create a comprehensive database. It will include all information gathered on a student from their initial inquiry to the School and University through their final interaction with the institution. Admissions, financial aid and employment records will be among those included.

Applicants to the SON who apply for spring admission (deadline Aug. 17) at the undergraduate level will submit their information via CarolinaConnect. The advent of this system also marks the beginning of a completely electronic records system for the School. All applications, application reviews and transcripts with no longer be available in a paper format.
